A FORKLIFT truck was targeted by vandals in Purton.

Police have appealed for any witnesses who saw who damaged the works vehicle or can name the yobs responsible.

They said the vehicle had been targeted between March 23 and April 1. The forklift truck was being used for building works on the Dogridge estate in Purton.

GreenSquare, a housing association, is building a block of eight flats and two bungalows on the estate.

Writing on social media site Facebook, Royal Wootton Bassett & Cricklade Police wrote: "Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen something or seen someone in or near the vicinity at the above times.

"You can contact us via 101 and quote crime ref number 31495. You can also private message with any details you wish to share.

"CCTV enquiries are currently being carried out."

The officers added a call to action for their followers: "Get tagging and sharing."
