A FORMER teacher who is accused of taking part in a sex act with a pupil on a school trip is to face trial by judge and jury.
Neville Buckle is alleged to have been involved in the activity with a 17-year-old girl in the summer of 2007.
The 48-year-old, of Stainswick Lane, Shrivenham, pleaded not guilty to sexual activity with a person in a breach of trust when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.
Buckle was a maths teacher at the school when he is alleged to have had the sexual contact with the child.
Judge Robert Pawson adjourned the case to Monday September 9 and released him on unconditional bail. The court heard that the father of grown up children has now left the teaching profession.
