A new group is starting next month to help people who suffer from Arthritis.

Swindon Versus Arthritis will meet on the first Friday of every month between 11:00am -12:30pm.

The first meeting will be held on Friday June 7th at the Gorse Hill Community Centre, SN2 8DA.

The aims of the group is to support those struggling with Osteoarthritis, which is the most common type of arthritis. It starts with the breakdown of cartilage in joints.

Arthritis refers to the pain, swelling and stiffness joints sufferers feel. It can affect joints all over the body..

Around 10 million people in the UK are thought to have arthritis. It can affect people of all ages – even children and teenagers. Some forms of arthritis are more common in older people.

Everyone is encouraged to come along and support the new group, and help fellow sufferers manage this painful condition.
