THIS week a dozen years ago saw the Adver devote souvenir supplements to prom night celebrations - then still a fairly recent import from the US.
Also in the news was the outcome of our Community Champions accolades, which recognised the modest heroes whose tireless work made their communities better places.
Recipients included a woman who had provided a loving home for hundreds of vulnerable children and a man who had cleared litter from his neighbourhood - initially while wearing a mask as he didn’t want a fuss.
