VOLUNTEERS enjoyed afternoon tea as a thank-you from their parish council for all the hard work they have done over the last few months.
Stratton St Margaret Parish Council chairman Coun Robert Jandy invited several local residents to Beechcroft Library to show his appreciation for the hours they spend contributing to the community by giving up their free time to help keep parts of the parish tidy and running smoothly.
Coun Jandy said: "The council could not provide some of its services without the help of volunteers who range from litter picking, weeding, assisting with the services at Beechcroft Library, running community activities and assisting at Grange Leisure and community events."
