STAGECOACH passengers can buy cheaper day tickets on Thursday as the company supports Clean Air Day.
The travel provider is urging people to leave the car at home and catch the bus in a bid to reduce carbon emissions.
Explorer tickets that cover unlimited travel on the Stagecoach West network all day will cost £2 rather than £7
Managing director Rupert Cox said: “We’re pleased to be supporting Clean Air Day and helping to raise awareness of the benefits of travelling by bus.
"We hope this offer will encourage people to support Clean Air Day and try out their local bus service.”
The ticket can be purchased on the Stagecoach Bus App using the discount code SCGLCAD2019.
Over the last year, Stagecoach West has introduced greener buses as part of a £3m investment in new vehicles.
Swindon Bus Company will also join the Clean Air Day initiative by offering cheaper day tickets on its buses.
