A MAN was slashed in the head in Broadgreen last night.
The victim, in his 20s, also received minor injuries to his leg and hand and was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life threatening.
Detectives have described their top suspect as a tall black man, aged between 25 and 35, with shoulder length hair.
In a statement, Wiltshire Police said officers were called to Gladstone Street, near Manchester Road, at around 11.30pm on Friday night. A cordon remained in place until 3am.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “We would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to call police immediately. We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who saw a man described as black, aged between 25 and 35, tall and of an athletic build, with hair down to his shoulders in the area around this time.”
