FAKE council officers have been knocking on doors in Stratton offering to do work.
Urging people to ignore the cold callers, Swindon Borough Council's trading standards team posted on social media: "Report received of men knocking on doors in Meadowcroft claiming to be from the council and offering various services.
"Never deal with cold callers. Council employees will always carry ID badges, always ask for ID and verify by calling the council on 01793 445500."
