The Samaritans are holding an information event for prospective volunteers next week.
On Wednesday July 18 between 7pm – 8.30pm, the charity will host an evening at Chiseldon House in Westlea for anyone interested in donating their time to the charity.
There are a range of volunteering roles available in the organisation, including admin support, fundraising and helping out in the charity shop. There is also the opportunity to become a listening volunteer, to provide confidential, non-judgemental emotional support to people at difficult times in their lives.
The charity said: "We are always seeking dependable people willing to donate some of their valuable time to help us at Swindon & District Samaritans – so please come along and find out more without obligation."
