A PAIR of teenagers have been arrested in connection with a fire that ripped through a Wroughton cottage earlier this year.
The thatched cottage in The Pitchens was gutted in the blaze on March 29. At the height of the fire, around 70 firefighters were involved in tackling the flames.
Detectives investigating the incident say they have arrested two boys, aged 15 and 16, on suspicion of arson. Both have been released under investigation.
Reissuing an appeal for witnesses, Det Sgt Justin Downes, from Swindon CID, said: “We are continuing to appeal for anyone who may have information which could assist with our enquiries, including anyone who witnessed anything suspicious on the night of the fire, to contact us. Any piece of information, no matter how small it may seem, could prove crucial.”
