A TEEN was attacked in an Abbey Meads play park.
Police have appealed for anyone who saw the incident to come forward. A boy, 16, has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
The force said a 13-year-old boy was assaulted in the play park off Bergman Close, Abbey Meads, on Tuesday, July 16, at around 4.30pm. His bike was also damaged.
"It is reported that a witness who was riding a bike stopped and helped the boy after he was assaulted," Swindon North Police said on Facebook.
A spokeswoman for Wiltshire Police told the Adver: "A 16-year-old boy from Swindon has been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage in connection with this incident.
"He’s been released under investigation and enquiries continue."
