Expect delays for the next two weeks on one of Swindon’s busiest roads near one of its busiest junctions.

Scottish & Southern Power Distribution will be working on County Road just north of the Magic Roundabout for the next two weeks.

Workmen are installing a new mains electricity connection, and their work is on both the pavement and main carriageway.

Traffic is being controlled by lights and work is expected to continue until August 28.

Drivers who use the White Hart roundabout at the eastern edge of Swindon adjoining the A419 dual carriageway are also bracing themselves for the start of maintenance work.

The sliproad from the major road will be closes over night form 8pm to 6am between 9 and 27 September.

This is for routine maintenance and is not part of the work to increase the roundabout’s capacity, and install controlling lights as part of improvements ahead of the New Eastern Villages plan.
