THIS dramatic footage shows police officers at the scene of the the siege.
In the footage - taken by Luke McDonough - gunshots can be heard.
Luke spoke to the Adver and said: "It lasted around 90 minutes to two hours and I think we heard about 15 to 20 shots in total.
“In the end it looked like they managed to speak to him and get him down.
“All the windows on the house were smashed and there was glass everywhere.
“It was quite scary to see it unfold.” Luke added, “You don’t expect to see it here. It’s such a quiet street, it was very surreal.
“If I’m honest I’m not sure how I felt, I had a lot of adrenalin, but I wasn’t too scared, more just worried about the other people.”
The police have arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of possessing a firearm, criminal damage and assaulting an emergency worker.
He remains in custody at Gablecross Police Station
