YOUTUBE stars Baby Shark and his friend Pinkfong had families queueing up outside The Entertainer

Supervisors of the toy shop in Havelock Street organised the event, which was so popular the line of eager youngsters and their families stretched up as far as the CEX store.

Tots were over the moon to meet the South Korean characters, who gave hugs and kisses before posing for pictures.

One mum Faye Pierce 35, from Old Town was with her daughter who was excited to see them. “I’m here for my daughter Holly and she’s been a fan for over a year. The song is constantly being played in the house so she’s really excited to be here.”

The internet hits were singing and dancing to their song while meeting the children.

They were on a tour of different stores around the country and made the time to stop off in Swindon to meet fans and their families.

Phillipa Meehan 30, from north Swindon spoke about her daughter's infatuation with the stars: “She absolutely loves it, she dances to the song a lot. Her nan brought her a Baby Shark sing-along book for Christmas last year and that’s all I’ve heard since last Christmas.

“I was actually expecting it to be busier, so it seems we have come at a good time.”

Paul Mountney 50, of north Swindon was with his wife Jenny 47, and had brought their children along: “Our niece had told us about the event and so we brought these little ones along. Our niece works here, she seemed excited and told us it would be busy and clearly it is. It’s more for the kids really and they like Baby Shark.”

Jonathan Kershaw is a supervisor at The Entertainer and spoke about bring the colourful characters to Swindon. “I was expecting a fair few people to turn up but we are quite impressed. The kids are loving it, there have been a couple of cries as you usually get with these things.

"But everyone has had big smiles on their faces and dancing along to the music.

“We were all excited for them to come along, it’s all just a bit of fun really. Everyone is pumped up about Baby Shark and Pinkfong and we get to hear the song play throughout the day.”"
