Sexual assault in town centre sparks police investigation
POLICE cordoned off a small section of the town centre after receiving reports of a sexual assault in the area.
The crime is believed to have taken place in Carr Street at approximately 2am on Thursday.
Officers sealed off the area behind H & T Pawnbrokers on Bridge Street at around 4pm that day then removed the cordon later that evening.
Enquiries are still ongoing. Anyone with information should call 101.
