Brexit is not impacting Swindon’s job market as much as the rest of the UK.

Professional vacancies have increased three per cent across the region according to the Association of Professional Staffing Companies.

New research from the trade body that represents the recruitment sector compared the situation with this time last year.

The data, provided by recruitment software company Innovantage, analyses monthly hiring trends in the UK. It reveals the region is the second top area for job opportunities in the UK, only behind the north west.

Rina Durban, membership relations manager at APSCo said: “Swindon, and the wider south east region has always been a fantastic area for job opportunities.

“The region is bucking the UK’s trend of falling vacancies, despite Brexit being just around the corner.”
