POLICE arrested a woman on suspicion of drug driving and another offence after believing that her car could be linked to crime.

Officers stopped the car on Marlborough Road on Wednesday night and then carried out a search of the vehicle.

They found drug paraphernalia during the search and seized it.

A Swindon South Police spokesman said: "Due to concerns that the Ford Fiesta was linked to criminal activity, it was stopped.

"A 37-year-old woman from Newbury was arrested on suspicion of bilking.

"The woman was also arrested on suspicion of drug driving.

"She remains in custody at Gablecross for further questioning."
