A CRASH in Old Town left a cyclist with facial injuries.
Two police cars and ambulances attended the crash on Marlborough Road at 5.30pm on Thursday.
Traffic slowed in both directions between the Coate Water and Lawn roundabouts while the emergency services dealt with the aftermath of the collision.
A Wiltshire Police spokeswoman said: “We were called to reports of a collision between a cyclist and a car around 5.30pm on Marlborough Road.
“The cyclist, from the Royal Wootton Bassett area, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital.
“A partial road closure was put in place while emergency services dealt with the incident.”
A South Western Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Our crews treated a male patient at the scene for facial injuries, and took him by ambulance to hospital in Oxford for further care."
