A HOME care company that supports senior citizens in Swindon has been honoured with an award for being a top employer.

Home Instead Senior Care can now add a 5 Star Employer Award to its Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission.

Care manager Chloe Morley said, “We are so proud to receive this award and overwhelmed with the caregiver feedback.

“It is a privilege to be the care manager of Home Instead Senior Care Swindon and Vale of White Horse and work with such dedicated and caring people.

"The ethos and passion is infectious and there is such an emphasis on delivering an outstanding service from all caregivers and office team,.

"We all have the same goal to reach and support as many people as possible to live well in their own home.

"This is a very proud moment for us all.”

The company's employees are given access to accredited and award-winning training programmes that have been endorsed by the Princess Royal Training Awards.

In addition, they are given opportunities for career progression and are part of what Home Instead Senior Care owners John and Jill Kirk call a supportive valued-led team which delivers great care to its clients.

Mr and Mrs Kirk added: “We are incredibly proud to have achieved this award.

“It means so much because it was awarded as a result of feedback from our employees.

"Person-centred home care is our business and this acknowledgement proves that it works, not only for our clients, but for our caregivers and the team in the office too.”

Independent company WorkBuzz awarded them the accolade after conducting surveys with Home Instead’s caregivers and staff.

WorkBuzz CEO Steven Frost said: “The biggest challenge facing many organisations is recruiting and retaining the best talent.

"We would like to congratulate Home Instead Senior Care for its high levels of employee engagement.

"Its positive culture means that most employees are proud to work there, would choose to stay even if they were offered a similar job elsewhere, and are highly motivated.”
