Man in court over 'gunpoint robbery' of bookies
A WALCOT man is alleged to have robbed a Chippenham bookmakers at gunpoint.
Scott Knowles, 31, of Naunton Road, Walcot, appeared before Swindon Magistrates' Court charged with possession of an imitation firearm and robbery.
It is said he robbed a branch of Coral Racing on New Road, Chippenham, on Saturday, September 7.
Knowles was remanded in custody to next appear at Swindon Crown Court on Friday, November 15.
