SWINDON Academy achieved the highest Progress 8 score of any school in Swindon for the fourth year in a row.
Newly-published Department for Education performance tables show the academy's score of 0.41 which is above the national average and places it in the top 25 per cent of schools nationally.
Progress 8 measures the amount of progress students make between the end of primary school and the end of Year 11.
Executive principal of Swindon Academy and Nova Hreod Academy Ruth Robinson said: “Our standing in this year’s tables demonstrates the added value that our schools make to our students.
"At both Swindon and Nova Hreod Academies, we constantly strive to give our students a high-quality, engaging and challenging education which will equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
"Our strong results are testament to our hard-working and inspiring staff who always go the extra mile to support and nurture students.”
