TWO Wiltshire men given lengthy unpaid work stretches for flinging poo around a GWR train carriage were lucky not to be jailed, police said.
Toby Clarke, 22, who defecated into a Nando’s takeaway box on the way home from watching England’s World Cup match against Croatia, was handed 280 hours of unpaid work.
Bobby Clifford, 22, who threw the box and accidentally hit a woman in the head with faeces, received six months imprisonment suspended for a year.

Speaking from Swindon Crown Court, Insp Scott Hargreave of the British Transport Police said: “I think they are very fortunate that they aren’t facing an immediate custodial sentence.
“Their actions and behaviour were reprehensible.
“I would like to reassure the travelling public that incidents like this are rare. Any incident of which we are made aware we will police and investigate very robustly.
“This case shows we won’t tolerate behaviour like this on the railway network.”
