A GROUP of volunteers have planted hundreds of bulbs in west Swindon to improve the area.
Residents gathered in Westlea park to plant 500 Daffodils.
Parish councillor Suresh Gattapur said: "My ultimate aim is trying to build a sense of community in west Swindon with people being proud to live here.
"So I think a green and clean initiative addresses this and invites people of multiple backgrounds to work together for our community.
"Also it's understated how refreshing an area can become just by planting a few bulbs."
