Wiltshire Search & Rescue is celebrating after receiving £25,000 from Tesco to continue its life-saving work.
The much-needed funds will go towards a new search-and-rescue vehicle so that it can continue improving its emergency response.
These funds are part of Tesco’s Centenary year celebrations.
Chair of Wiltshire Search & Rescue Adrian Sawyer said: “We truly appreciate the support given by Tesco customers, helping us to save lives by funding our much needed 4x4.
"The Wiltshire Search & Rescue team relies entirely on donations, so to be awarded this incredibly generous amount of money is truly amazing.
“Our search capability will be much-improved with the purchase of a 4x4 vehicle to allow us to access some of the most difficult terrain in the county.
“Thank you, Tesco and thank you to everyone who chose us.”
