A NEWCOMER to Prestatyn High Street has walked away with the town’s best Christmas window display.
Blooming Gorgeous Floristry has been named the 'Most Imaginatively Decorated Christmas Shop Window' by Prestatyn Carnival Association (PCA) following a festive round of judging in the Town Centre.
The business, which formerly traded in Rhuddlan for 14 months before moving to Prestatyn in July, is owned by ex-serviceman Pete Fletcher and his partner Ed Furber. The award caps off a bumper year for the business, which was named Best Retail Florist in Wales at the second Welsh Independent Retail Awards in May and was the only Welsh business nominated for the 'Best Wedding Florist' finals of the National Wedding Awards.
The judges were former mayor cllr Anton Sampson, PCA chair Joy Williams and PCA queen's chaperone Alisha Faye Parry.
A spokesperson for the PCA said: "We would like to thank all the businesses who entered and decorated their windows to help make the town centre look so festive."
