BURGLARS stole jewellery, watches, cash and a grey Mercedes AMG A35 from a house in Blunsdon St Andrew.
Police are appealing for information about the incident at Reynolds Way which happened between 10.30am on Tuesday and 4.34am on Wednesday.
The car's registration is WX69TNN.
PC David Thompson said: "We believe that the offender/s were at the property at 7.47pm on New Year's Eve from motion sensing equipment at the property.
"However, we cannot rule out that the offender/s could have also been at the property before or after this time, either carrying out reconnaissance prior or returning later to take the car after leaving the property.
"You may have seen or heard something if you were in the area.
"If you can recall any details of the incident or saw anyone in the street in the lead-up to the incident or there afterwards, or if you have any private CCTV or car dash cam which may have been recording at the time, please contact me by calling 101."
