SWINDON: Jamie Pritchard, 26, of Groundwell Road, was given a mental health treatment order he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting women in Swindon and Trowbridge.

Pritchard had previously denied the two charges of sexual touching, which related to incidents on February 8 and 11, but changed his pleas.

He was given an 11 month community order with a mental health treatment requirement.

SWINDON: Sean Baxter, 26, of Ceres Road, pleaded not guilty to dangerous driving, driving without due care and attention, causing an injury and failing to stop and causing an accident and failing to report it to police.

The charges relate to an alleged incident on Jupiter Close, Blunsdon, on August 10. Baxter is accused of driving a BMW 420D and hitting a man causing soft tissue damage.

He was granted unconditional bail for the trial at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on March 9.

WEST SWINDON: Jordan Dunn, 25, of Walter Close, and Tyler Vernon, 26, of Naunton Road, Walcot, have been jointly charged with affray in Swindon town centre on January 14.

Vernon is also accused of being in possession of a knife and a Taser disguised as a torch.

The pair were bailed to appear before the crown court on January 17 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: John Garrington, 47, of Trinity Park, Calne, has been charge with causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The incident is said to have happened on Bincknoll Lane on April 7 last year.

He was granted unconditional bail to appear before the crown court on January 17.

TOWN CENTRE: Alex Lockey, 18, of Radnor Street, denies assaulting a woman by beating. He admitted a public order matter and possession of cannabis. He was granted unconditional bail to appear before the magistrates’ court for the trial on March 19.

SWINDON: Landrover driver Lydia Spanswick was fined £80 and given five penalty points after she admitted careless driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

The 24-year-old, of Palomino Road, was behind the wheel of the Freelander on November 13 on Edgeware Road, when she hit a white Transit van.

She was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.

PINEHURST: Kelly Watkins, 40, of Pinehurst, admitted punching and kicking a woman and doing £150-worth of damage to the door of her victim’s car.

She was bailed to appear before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on January 22 to be sentenced.

SWINDON: Benjamin Gough, 37, of no fixed address, pleaded not guilty to flashing his genitals, sexually touching women and using threatening words or behaviour against a woman on July 6.

He was bailed for the trial at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on January 13.

HAYDON WICK: Luke Akers, 31, of Charmind Walk, admitted trying to import a Taser into the country.

Akers pleaded guilty to being knowingly concerned in the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of a firearm. He also admitted possession of 30 Xanax tablets, a class C drug.

He was ordered to do 50 hours of unpaid work and pay a £90 victim surcharge. The drugs were forfeit.

SWINDON: Paul Gibbons, 63, of The Bungalows, Pinehurst, was banned from the roads for 20 months after he pleaded guilty to a charge of drink driving.

Gibbons was stopped on the A419 at the White Hart Roundabout on November 8. Breathalyser tests found he had 77 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 ml of breath.

He was fined £184 and ordered to pay £117 in costs and surcharge.

KINGSDOWN: Clive Horan, 72, of Hadleigh Rise, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He had 40 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35.

He was banned from driving for a year, fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.

SWINDON: Jay Mapstone, 18, of Banwell, Somerset, pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly behaviour in Swindon on September 16. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £117 in costs and surcharge. Mapstone had been subject to a conditional discharge.
