Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet presents Tchaikovsky’s stunning full-scale ballet The Nutcracker at the Theatre Royal Bath from Sunday, with four performances of the much-loved seasonal treat accompanied by a full orchestra.
The enchanting fairy tale of The Nutcracker tells of Clara’s fantastical adventure with her Nutcracker Prince, the Mouse King Under the direction of former Prima Ballerina, Marina Medvetskaya, the ballet combines classical training and technique with outstanding soloists to entertain audiences in breath-taking style. The company, which first visited Bath in 2016, has won plaudits across the world.
She said: “Since our first tour in 2015, we have been welcomed by UK audiences who have embraced the beauty, skill and dedication of our dancers. These dates are now an integral part of our touring calendar.”
The ballet draws on the heritage of centuries of classical dance to deliver traditional productions of the best-loved Russian ballets.
