PURTON: Jodie Mahoney, 31, of Proud Close, pleaded guilty to stealing £30 worth of goods from Tesco in Royal Wootton Bassett. She must pay compensation.

PINEHURST: Trevor Davies, 43, of Pinehurst Road, was ordered to complete a thinking skills programme – after he admitted a shoplifting spree that saw him steal almost £400 of sweets and chocolate from Wilko.

Davies pleaded guilty to nine counts of theft.

He took meat, sweets, cigarette lighters, breakfast cereal from Asda, confectionary and cleaning products from the store.

He was given an 18-month community order with a requirement to complete 19 days. He must pay £619 compensation.

M4: Dawid Hajduk, 27, of Warminster Road, was found guilty of drink driving on the M4 and failing to give information to police concerning the identity of the driver on February 23 last year.

He was behind the wheel of a Peugeot Partner when he was found to have 111 miligrammes of alcohol in 100ml of blood.

He was fined £300, banned from driving for 14 months and must pay £650 in costs and surcharge.

OLD TOWN: Leon Wilson, 22, of Devizes Road, pleaded guilty to criminal damage and two counts of assault by beating.

He was sentenced to an 18-month community order with requirements to complete a domestic violence course and do 150 hours of unpaid work. He must pay £170 in costs and surcharge.

MIDDLELEAZE: Andrew Royle, 45, of Rye Close, admitted assault by beating. He was fined £233 and must pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.

SWINDON: Wiltshire Police have been given a further six months to keep £1,186 seized when detectives raided a home on Suffolk Street in November 2018. Magistrates made the order under the Proceeds of Crime Act. The cash is suspected to be the proceeds of crime.

GORSE HILL: Oscar Crowe, 20, of Argyle Street, admitted sending sexually obscene messages to three women via Facebook.

The youngster pleaded guilty to three counts of harassment and three counts of sending grossly offensive messages.

He was bailed and will be sentenced by the magistrates on March 20.

SWINDON: Amy Dunn, 32, of Downton Road, pleaded guilty to driving a Renault Megane without a licence or insurance on Cricklade Road on December 10

She was fined £120, banned from the roads for six months and ordered to pay £117 in costs and surcharge.

WILTSHIRE: A Grenadier Guard accused of making fraudulent loan applications will appear before a crown court judge later this month.

Nathan Walker, 28, of Lille Barracks, Aldershot, faces 10 counts of fraud. It is alleged he made fraudulent applications for loans to two women, Santander, Freedom Finance and EUI Admiral.

He entered no pleas and was bailed to appear before Salisbury Crown Court on March 13.

ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: Scott Elmore, 30, of Tanner Close, admitted assault by beating and damaging a TV, furnishings and bathroom facilities at Kingsbury Hotel, Marlborough, on November 3.

He was given an 18 month community order and must pay £4,190 compensation to the hotel and £175 in costs and surcharge.

SWINDON: James Hamill, 22, of Pound Street, Newbury, admitted assault by beating and harassment of a woman in Swindon.

He was given a 12-month community order, must complete 25 rehabilitation activity days and abide by a year-long restraining order. Magistrates ordered a £90 victim surcharge was paid.

RODBOURNE: Gareth Van-Zyl, 31, of Linslade Street, pleaded guilty to drug driving on the A3094 Netherhampton Road.

He had 7.4 microgrammes of cannabis in his blood – more than three times the legal limit.

He was banned from the roads for a year and fined £120. He must pay £117 in costs and surcharge.

WILTSHIRE: A Salisbury man has been charged with kidnapping a woman with the intention of molesting her.

Appearing before Swindon magistrates, Nicholas Wells, 27, of Eyres Way, Salisbury, entered no pleas to charges of kidnap and sexual touching.

The crimes are said to have been committed at Shrewton, near Stonehenge, on September 6 last year.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Salisbury Crown Court on March 8 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
