A DRUG dealer picked up with heroin and crack cocaine was said to have been followed by London gangsters from the capital to Swindon and Gloucester.

Appearing before Swindon Crown Court via video link from HMP Hewell, Haroon Rehman pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply. He also faces sentence for possession with intent to supply cannabis in Gloucester and simple possession of cannabis.

The judge was asked to consider ordering a pre-sentence report. The 22-year-old was said to be suffering from PTSD as a result of a close friend being stabbed three years ago.

His family had moved from London to Gloucester in 2018. But the criminals with whom he had been involved in the capital tracked him down to the west of England, leading to him being picked up by the police with heroin, crack and cannabis.

Recorder William Mousley QC adjourned the case for four weeks and ordered a pre-sentence report.

“The case will not be adjourned again if it comes before the court on April 20 you will be sentenced on that day,” he said.

Rehman, 22, formerly of Clarendon Road, east London, was remanded in custody.
