A LONDONER accused of driving a car dangerously down the M4 is wanted by the courts after failing to appear in the Swindon dock.
Elson Kastrati, 19, of Elderfield Road, Clapton, has been charged with dangerous driving and driving without a licence or insurance. A charge of failing to stop for police was withdrawn by the Crown prosecutor
It is said the Albanian national was behind the wheel of the 63-plate car on the M4 on the afternoon of February 19.
Kastrati was bailed by the magistrates last month with requirements to live and sleep at the address he had given the court and report to Stoke Newington police station every Monday and Friday.
He was due before Swindon Crown Court on Friday. When he failed to show up Judge Peter Crabtree issued a warrant for the man’s arrest.
