MCDONALD'S restaurants in the Swindon area will give away their food to charity after closing later today.
Franchisee Chris Lawrence is asking for people to suggest good causes who would benefit from the unused stock that the fast food chain's six Swindon branches will have when they shut for the foreseeable future at 4pm today.
Mr Lawrence told the Adver: "Though collections could be organised at a later date, we ideally need it all sealed up and done today.
"We're still counting how much food we have, there's a lot and we don't want it go to waste."
McDonald’s Swindon, Cirencester and Stroud are looking to give our spare chilled food to a REGISTERED CHARITY today. Please email Chris.Lawrence@uk.mcd.com
