Wiltshire Police has called on businesses shut during the coronavirus lockdown to donate spare hand sanitiser supplies.
It came as Glastonbury organisers Michael and Emily Eavis gave Avon and Somerset Police scores of boxes of hand sanitiser, masks and gloves. The Somerset music festival announced last week that it would not run this summer as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Writing on Twitter, Wiltshire Police said: "A call out to any local businesses who have now closed, but still have hand sanitiser - we need supplies for our frontline police officers and staff, so if you are willing to donate then please Tweet us and we will arrange for someone to be in touch. Many thanks!"

Some of the replies to the force's appeal were perhaps less than helpful. One Twitter user wrote: "You are joking right? Go and pay for it if you want it."Â
