The Post Office in Wroughton will open in a new location on Monday.

Its old home inside the Co-op on the village's High Street closed on Wednesday.

Work is now being carried out to move its facilities into another Co-op on Devizes Road.

The relocated branch will open its doors on Monday at 9am. Its opening hours will be from 8am to 8pm on every day of the week.

In the meantime, customers wishing to use Post Office services can use other nearby branches on 119 Victoria Road and 58 Commercial Road.

A spokesman said: "Our partner, Midcounties Co-op, has identified an opportunity to move the branch that they currently operate at 10 High Street into their other retail premises nearby.

"This will be a new-style local Post Office with services provided from two serving points alongside the retail counter of the convenience store throughout the shop’s opening hours.

"During transfer of the branch, customers may use two alternative branches."
