TGI Fridays has revealed the first week of its new click and collect service in Reading has been "a huge success".
Following the opening week at the TGI Fridays Reading Caversham Road restaurant, it has also been revealed that a fifth of its orders were Fridays' sesame chicken strips with crispy fries.

With fans excited to have that Fridays Feeling back, the restaurant also reaffirmed the UK’s love for its legendary glaze - coming in as the second most popular item in the area.
Other Fridays favourites which hit the top five most ordered dishes included the Fridays Double Glazed Burger, Mozzarella Dippers and Ultimate Ribs.
Launched last week, the click and collect service is currently available at 24 Fridays restaurants across the UK, and allows guests to order their food and pay for it online then collect it safely from outside their nearest restaurant, where Fridays staff will place the order directly into the customer’s already open car boot to ensure total social distancing.
When completing their order online, guests are able to choose a collection slot between 12pm - 9pm and are advised on how to collect their food safely.
Fridays has also restored delivery services at the same locations via Just Eat and Deliveroo, where applicable.
