Police have been given extra time to retain £8,000 cash seized after the discovery of a large-scale cannabis factory in Swindon.
Wiltshire Police applied to the magistrates’ court to hold the money under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Court documents indicate the cash was seized from Fadil Gosturani, whose address was given as Ferndale Road, Swindon.
The money – estimated to be £8,000 – was found by police in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to reports of a suspected burglary on Omdurman Street, Gorse Hill, at around 2.30am.
Inside the house they found 60 cannabis plants and buds, together worth an estimated £100,000.
Officers have arrested three men in connection with the factory find, including two men stopped in cars seen making off from the house. Around £8,000 was seized from one of the vehicles, with police also seizing £1,200 and drugs paraphernalia from a home in Barnum Court, Rodbourne.
