FANS of Swindon rock greats XTC have a new podcast to feed their obsession with their favourite band.
Five episodes of What Do You call That Noise have so far been recorded and released and there have been contributions from three of the band’s members – Colin Moulding, Andy Partridge and Dave Gregory.
It is hosted by Mark Fisher, who has written two books about the band which began in Swindon in the late 1970s and had hits with classics like Making Plans for Nigel and Sgt Rock.
The episodes include other artists and musicians talking about their love for the group, as well as the band’s members themselves.
The June episode features XTC’s singer and songwriter Andy Partridge talking about Adam and the Ants, and the latest – released this month – is an hour-long conversation with guitar and keyboard player Dave Gregory.
The episode are downloadable fromwhatdoyoucallthatnoise.transistor.fm/episodes or other podcasting sites.
