A man and his daughter were subjected to racist abuse while they shopped at the Food Warehouse, police said.
Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
Police said at around 11.50am on Sunday, June 28, a man, 50s, and his daughter, who is in her 20s, were shopping at the Food Warehouse by Iceland in Barnfield Road, when a man made racist comments to them.
"The man’s actions left the pair feeling alarmed and distressed," a Wiltshire Police spokesman said.
The man was wearing a blue Adidas hooded jumper, dark jogging bottoms and white trainers.
Anyone who recognises the man should call Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
