A man is due before the magistrates this morning following Thursday’s stabbing in Royal Wootton Bassett.
Joseph Bridgeman, 21, of Chestnut Avenue, Tidworth, has been charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. It is said he had a kitchen knife.
He is due to appear before Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning. It is expected he will appear via police station video link.
The charges follow a stabbing in Rylands Way, Royal Wootton Bassett, on Thursday lunchtime that left a man in his 50s fighting for his life.
A second man arrested in the wake of the stabbing has been released on police bail, Wiltshire Police said.
