Thames Water has apologised after a burst water main caused traffic disruptions this afternoon near Kembrey Park.
Cirencester Way was partially closed in both directions after water shot into the air and flooded the road and parts of the business park shortly before midday.
Temporary traffic lights were put in place while engineers fixed the problem.
A Thames Water spokeswoman said: “We’re sorry to anyone affected by the burst main near Kembrey Park roundabout.
"Our engineers were quickly on the scene to investigate and were able to stop the flow of water.
“Our engineers are working hard to fix the pipe and traffic management measures will remain in place while it is fixed.
“In the meantime, we’ve rerouted water to ensure customers remain in supply and have contacted customers in the area who have pre-registered with us as having special requirements, such as being medically reliant on water, so we can make sure we give them the help and support they need.”
