AN alleged burglar tried to chip away the plastic sealant to get into a house, a court heard.
Frederick Moulton, 53, of Spring Close, appeared before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning charged with attempted burglary.
It is said he tried to break into a house in Rayfield Grove, Ferndale, on September 13. Moulton denies the allegation.
District Judge Joanna Dickens remanded him in custody to appear before Swindon Crown Court on October 23 for a pre-trial preparation hearing.
He faces another charge of burgling an office in Commercial Road between July 7 and 10 last year, stealing two laptops, a laptop bag and Samsung mobile phones. That case was adjourned.
Ben Worthington appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service. Moulton was represented by solicitor Mark Glendenning.
