SWINDON has been named the most thoughtful place in the UK.
Flower company Bloom & Wild has researched where the most thoughtful community is and Swindon came out on top.
The research combined the number of registered charities, volunteering opportunities and community gardening schemes as well as the recycling rate and electric car ownership.
This was then divided by the town’s population and given a ranking out of 100.
Swindon emerged top with 79, narrowly beating Bath and Oxford on 78.
Despite coming first overall, the town did not top any of the individual categories.
It finished 10th for most volunteering opportunities, seventh for most community garden schemes and third for ultra-low emission vehicle ownership.
It did not make the top 10 for best place to work in either the charities or highest recycling rate categories.
