A boy accused of stabbing another teenager will appear before a crown court judge later this month.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be identified as he is under 18, entered no pleas to a charge of wounding with intent when he appeared before Swindon Magistrates' Court yesterday. He also faces charges of possession of a kukri knife and possession of cannabis.
The boy is alleged to have stabbed an 18-year-old man outside Tesco in Toothill village centre on Thursday, October 8.
He is due before Swindon crown Court on October 20.
Last week, police said officers were called to reports of a fight in Toothill village centre at around 1.10pm on Thursday.
An 18-year-old man was said to have suffered stab wounds to his arm and leg. He was taken to Great Western Hospital by South Western Ambulance Service paramedics.
Police officers spent the rest of the afternoon making enquiries in the surrounding streets.
