A CEMENT lorry driver was more than three-times the drink-drive limit, magistrates heard.
Appearing before Swindon Magistrates’ Court, Ionel Cocos, 39, of Bishops Road, Reading, pleaded guilty to drink driving.
He was behind the wheel of the fully-laden cement mixer lorry on Croft Road on September 28 when tests later found he had 109 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The drink-drive limit is 35.
Magistrates granted him bail to return to the Princes Street court for sentence on October 30. A pre-sentence report was ordered.
Cocos was given an interim driving ban.
