Shrivenham and Watchfield had the highest number of new coronavirus diagnoses of any area in Swindon in the week to October 9.

The government’s map of new covid cases show there were 10 diagnoses in a large area covering Shrivenham, Watchfield, Coleshill and Little Coxwell.

Lower Stratton and a rural area surrounding Royal Wootton Bassett and Lyneham each recorded eight new cases.

Central North, an area roughly covering Broadgreen and the Railway Village and which was once the worst-affected neighbourhood in the south west, saw five new cases.
