A FLEDGLING collectibles shop will be moving to a new location – just a month after first opening.
The Funko Pop and Collectibles store was based in Cavendish Square when it opened up in September but now it’s moving to Gorse Hill.
Owner Aaron Huntley said the move will offer a lot more space.
He explained: “The shop we were in initially was shared with somebody and this is independent, has a bit more space and in a bit more of a practical location.
“Cavendish Square wasn’t really the right place for collectibles. At the time it worked out well but now we’ve got our own lease so it’ll be great.
“It’s been really successful and going really well given the current circumstances.”
Since last speaking to the Adver in September, former builder Aaron has already opened up two new stores in Newbury and Thatcham.
Funko Pop items have grown in popularity in recent years and feature Marvel, Star Wars and WWE favourites, among others.
Aaron left the construction industry last year and took to selling cars instead, but once lockdown began he moved to pop vinyls on eBay and Facebook.
He said his online selling had brought in £35,000.
The new Swindon store is located at 49 Cricklade Road and reopened to customers yesterday.
