A CHARITY that helps children with reading is looking for volunteers.
The Tetbury-based organisation wants new members to get onboard and listen to students read.
Anyone who can read and speak good English and spare time each week during school time.
A spokeswoman for the charity said: “Schoolreaders is looking for volunteers to go into primary schools in your area to listen to children read. Please volunteer and help your local schools.
“You listen to children one-to-one, on a weekly basis. You need no formal training. You just need a bit patience and you will be rewarded by their learning and improvement.
“Our volunteers really enjoy being schoolreaders, 99 per cent say they would recommend the scheme to someone considering volunteering.”
