These pictures show the damage to Mohammed Ali’s grey Nissan Juke after he struck Morgan Sheppard in Rodbourne Road in March.
The 20-year-old was jailed for six years and four months on Monday after he pleaded guilty to wounding with intent. He had previously denied attempted murder.
Swindon Crown Court heard he had been behind the wheel of the 2014-plate Nissan on Rodbourne Road when he aimed the SUV at Mr Sheppard. In a basis of plea he claimed he had been acting in defence of his friend, Benjamin Danso-Obeng, who he feared was in danger.

Mr Morgan suffered a severe head injury, was flown to Southmead Hospital in Bristol and was in a coma for a week.
Ali dumped the car around the corner and fled to London before later handing himself in at Gablecross police station.
The Crown Prosecution Service has now released pictures of the damage done to the Nissan Juke. They show splintering to the car’s windscreen and a missing wing mirror.
