SPOOKY scarecrows are being displayed in Badbury Park in a bid to raise money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
The Halloween-themed trail has more than 30 scarecrows on display, including witches, cowboys, clowns and pirates.
Secondary school teacher Jenny Green who lives on the housing estate, said: “I organised the scarecrow trail as a free event and it’s been great to see so many get involved.
“I have put together a trail checklist and map/route for the trail, which are available as a download, so everyone can enjoy while keeping safe.
“For those wanting to go on the trail, we have welcomed donations to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance after a close friend’s dad passed away suddenly and the air ambulance was involved in helping at the scene.”
Developer of Badbury Park, Persimmon Homes, helped with the fundraiser and donated £500.
Pauline Fletcher, sales and marketing director for Persimmon, said: “When we heard about this at the development, we had to get involved. It is always lovely to see new communities taking shape and this Halloween themed scarecrow trail is certainly helping to keep spirits up on the development.
“Residents are really excited and everyone is looking forward to participating in the trail. The trail has certainly made Persimmon staff smile too.”
