This is the plume of water that left a Haydon Wick cul-de-sac under several inches of water.
The dramatic video footage of the burst water main was sent to the Adver by Jo Baish. It was shot from an upstairs window in Haydon Court, a line of terraced houses and flats off Thames Avenue – near the Morrison’s store.
At least 12 properties were evacuated following the incident. Thames Water engineers remain at the scene.
